Dior Plans Global Pop-up Launch for Dior Vibe Sportswear Collection – WWD

WORLD OF RUNNER: Dior is marking its launch Dior Vibe’s sportswear range with the opening of a series of pop-up stores worldwide in January.

The incredible rollout will begin January 5 with the opening of a temporary store in Beverly Hills, followed by pop-up stores in Shanghai, Sanya, Beijing, Chengdu, Taipei , Hong Kong, Seoul, Bangkok, London, New York City and Tokyo.

Additionally, six pop-in stores are planned in Paris, Milan, Tokyo, New York City and Seoul, the brand said on Thursday. Opening days run from January 6 to February 16, depending on the location.

The exhibits will showcase French luxury homes cooperation with Italian company Technogym, a specialist in high-end sports equipment and digital technology, on Dior and Technogym Limited Edition products. These include a connected treadmill, a multi-function exercise bench, and an exercise ball.

Maria Grazia Chiuri, the artistic director of the women’s collections at Dior, has made a big statement about sportswear with Her 2022 yacht collection was shown in Athens, Greece. It combines goddess robes with sporty and futuristic staples sport shoes, reflecting consumers’ growing appetite for activewear after a year in a row of lockdowns.

The line includes a full range of workout gear like leggings, boxing shorts and a sports bra designed by artist Pietro Ruffo, including an Aegean blue motif inspired by her body. Athletes draw on ancient Greek vases. The fashion house says Dior Étoile, Dior Athlet and Dior Oblique motifs appear on ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes and bags, including the flagship Dior Vibe bag.
