Devin Nunes is leaving Congress; California Republican Party Wins Key Position in New Trump Social Media Company

House Intelligence Ratings Committee member Devin Nunes, a California Republican, as chairman of that panel, as chair of the so-called “Russian collusion” allegations, will leave Congress to join former President Donald Trump’s new media conglomerate.

“Devin Nunes will step down from Congress in the coming weeks to become CEO of Trump’s media company,” Disclose reported.

According to a statement obtained by USA Features News:

Trump Media & Technology Corporation (‘TMTG’) today announced that Representative Devin G. Nunes has been selected to join the Company as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Nunes is currently the current Representative of the United States House of Representatives, representing California’s 22nd congressional district, and formerly Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Mr. Nunes will leave the US House of Representatives and will begin his new role as CEO of TMTG in January 2022.

President Donald J. Trump, President of TMTG, commented, “Congressman Devin Nunes is a fighter and a leader. He will become an excellent CEO of TMTG. Devin understands that we must stop the free media and Big Tech from destroying the liberties that make America great. Since 2003, Mr. Nunes served in the United States House of Representatives, he currently serves the 22nd district of California. As Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee (2015-2019), Mr. Nunes has worked on important issues related to US security including cybersecurity and information technology. Mr. Nunes is also a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to fight the tyranny of Big Tech,” Trump said in October when he announced the new social media platform.

“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge Twitter presence, but your favorite US President has been silenced. This is unacceptable.”

“I’m excited to post my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with the mission of giving voice to everyone,” he continued.
