Bungie recently announced that nearly 1 million players have pre-ordered the DLC, which says a lot about the level of hype surrounding the game.

In a new podcast on Large analytical volumes Chris Proctor, Weapon Features Team Leader on Fate 2 at Bungie, giving fans a deeper insight into what’s to come in the massive DLC. During the podcast, Chris Proctor mentions that the DLC will add 42 new Legendary weapons, which is the biggest drop in weapons we’ve seen since Forsaken.

While we know for a fact that the DLC is expected to be the biggest in game history, many people wouldn’t think it would add such a large number of new weapons to the game. Bungie has emphasized that weapons will play a much more important role after the DLC, with the addition of new weapons as well as brand new crafting features.

With the help of the newly added crafting feature, players will be able to craft their own weapons by first locating prototypes or patterns as Bungie calls them. Players will then need to find items and then they will be able to craft a weapon and level it up. Something called their enhanced trait too, it just depends on how fast you level up the weapon. Basically, you need to kill as many enemies as possible and then try to level up your weapons as quickly as possible. This will allow you to get some bonuses for your weapons. With just a few weeks to go before the DLC is released, fans definitely have a lot to look forward to.
