Destiny 2 video shows how Sparrow physics can make it harder to grip the Avarice dungeon

The Destiny 2 clip shared by a player running through the Grasp of Avarice dungeon shows just how difficult the physics of Sparrow is to manage.
In early December, Bungie introduced a new dungeon called Grasp of Avarice to Fate 2. Grasp of Avarice is part of Bungie’s 30th anniversary celebration and is therefore not quite like the other dungeons. It has mysterious mechanics, lots of surprising traps, and even a required expansion chain Fate 2 players ride their sparrows. Interestingly, this sparrow part of Grasp of Avarice can be challenging in its own right, as a Fate 2 Video clips of players make clear.
Reddit user Rambuncilitieskid- shared a clip of their personal experience from a recent run of Grasp of Avarice Dungeon. The clip shows Rambuncectskid- riding his sparrow through the sparrow section of the dungeon only to crash. Rambuncilitieskid- performs a jump the wrong way, causing them to awkwardly land and flip their sparrow. When they tried to summon their sparrow again to get to the next point, they instead performed a mid-air flip and fell, ending the Grasp of Avarice run.
The title of the video shared on Reddit is “I hate sparrow physics I hate sparrow physics I hate sparrow physics” and it’s easy to see why. Rambuncmplekid- hit twice by them sparrow physics go a little winky. First, when they land, one of the “teeth” in the skull-shaped rock will catch on the back end of the sparrow and cause it to flip. The second is due to the Rambuncilitieskid summoning their sparrow in midair and hitting the gas. This immediately causes the sparrow to spin forward, collide, and explode.
To be fair to Bungie, these physics are odd to Fate 2 sparrow has existed for a long time. Rambuncilitieskid- may already be very familiar with these physical quirks. Only when in a state of panic did they respond with muscle memory rather than recalling what might happen when summoning a sparrow in mid-air.
For the most part, commenters on Rambuncilitieskid’s Reddit thread—are punishing him for not remembering how sparrow physics works. Other commenters told Rambuncilitieskid- that they should have used the left jump, which pierced the skull’s eye and bought time. Most of all Fate 2 player, at least, smiling at the Rambuncilitieskid-.
At least, Rambuncilitieskid’s Reddit post-will help some Fate 2 The player better navigates the Grasp of Avarice sparrow’s run. Doesn’t mean players expect Bungie to change the sparrow physics for Fate 2. That’s not really what the post is about. It only Fate 2 players have fun with the singularity of Fate 2.
Fate 2 Available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
