Demi Lovato’s ‘Sober California’ Approach Is ‘Offensive’

“So to say you’re, like, California sober or this kind of sober is super annoying,” Kent added.

“I have been in rooms with men and women who have given up everything just to not receive. You are not sober if you are drinking or you are smoking weed. You’re not awake,” she clarified.

Kent has updated her fans on her journey to sobriety over the years.

“Five months ago, I realized I was an alcoholic,” the actress mentioned via her Instagram Story in March 2019.

“I will never preach to anyone, I will only speak from my own experience. Self-control, for me, is what changed my life.”
