Death Stranding Cut director will have a PC version

Director Death Stranding Cut on PC now seems to have become a reality as Intel announced a partnership with Kojima Productions and 505 Games to implement its XeSS technology into this very popular game.

In early 2021, Kojima Productions revealed that Death Stranding will get the Director’s Cut version on PlayStation 5, but now that it looks like the original game, this version will also be available on individual compupters.

As you may already know, CES 2022 will officially start tomorrow, January 5, and this is the expo where hardware giants like Nvidia, AMD and Intel will have some special announcements.

Death Stranding directors have become the first PC game to support Intel’s XeSS Technology.

According to a leaked press release from Intel, shared by VideoCardz, the company that is supposed to unveil its Arc graphics units during CES 2022, will also feature XeSS technology, a Supersampling capability that works in a similar way to AMD’s FSR and Nvidia’s DLSS.

As noted in the press release, Neil Rally, president of 505 Games, announced that Death Stranding Director’s Cut on PCs that will support Intel’s XeSS. He says:

We’re excited to announce our partnership with Intel for the Cut Edition of the Death Stranding Director on PC. Death Stranding is a hugely popular game with PC players, and we’re excited to see how Intel’s new XeSS technology will enhance the player experience for Director’s Cut.

As the press release reveals, Ubisoft, Techland, PUBG Studios, Codemasters 505 Games, IO Interactive, and Fishlabs are some of the other studios that will be implementing XeSS technology support into their titles.

If this turns out to be true, we should probably expect an official announcement about Death Stranding Director’s Cut for Steam or the Epic Games Store in the next few days.
