Dead Cells Announces Hollow Knight Crossover

In a new update titled ‘Everybody’s Here’, Dead Cells looks to add a Hollow Knight crossover in the form of a Hollow Knight weapon.

Dead cells‘Motion Twin developers have revealed on Twitter the final guest to join the “Everybody’s Here” update, which shows a short clip of our favorite demon-possessed corpse wielding the famous sword by Knight Hollow.

Roguelike smash hit Dead cells took over the PC indie game scene back in 2017. Set in an island prison, players take control of an amorphous creature possessing the body of a headless corpse. Since its release Dead cells has seen much success, including passing sales milestonesand check out the Android and iOS releases of the game. In 2021, most won’t blame Motion Twin developers if they decide to move on to new projects, already supporting Dead cells continuously for the past four years. However, Motion Twin revealed that Dead cells will get a free update on November 22nd, bringing six cross-games in roguelike.

This crossover will add symbolism Weapons and abilities from major indie titles. Blasphemy, Skul: Hero Killer, Guacamelee, Hyper Light Drifter, The curse of the dead gods, and of course, Hollow Knight all will be participating in the free update. In terms of abilities, players will now be able to transform into a chicken and add Blasphemy will add a resurrecting honey pot.

As stated, Hollow Knight is the final crossover revealed for the update. As dead cells, Hollow Knight is a Metroidvania action game, although the latter does not have the human-like mechanics of the former but is a more traditional platformer action game. Praised for its unique visual style and engaging combat, many people have been looking forward to Hollow Knight included in the “Everybody’s Here” update. Although Motion Twin has stated that the Knight himself is “too shy” to be included Dead cells, his sword will be available for use and the player will be able to defeat enemies by stomping on their head, called pogoing.

Bringing all these indie legends into one free update is a pretty cool gift, but the release of this update raises some questions, specifically about possible sequels. happens to both. Hollow Knight: Silksong is the planned title for the sequel of Hollow Knight, though we don’t have an expected release date for that game yet, with the latest news being that it won’t be shown at E3 this year. Concealed in further obscurity is the possibility of a Dead cells next part. While some are hopeful that we may soon see a new addition to the franchise, with a new DLC called “Fatal Falls” set to be released earlier this year and updates remain regular. released, it seems that Motion Twin is more than satisfied with Dead cells as it exists.
