DC police seek to increase ranks, expand cadet program
“We want police officers to represent and reflect DC residents, who understand our city and culture, and who are invested in our community,” said Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) said at a ceremony at the school library. She vowed to “throw every resource at violent crime” and “part of that commitment means hiring more DC residents to become DC police.”
