DayZ’s final update in 2021

Update DayZ November 2021

Today, Bohemia Interactive removed DayZ’s Last update of the year, adding some new items to the game as well as some tweaks to improve the player experience and make things more immersive.

New content wise, the update adds two new AUR variants – both using 5.56 NATO ammunition. The first variant has a fixed range and a 30-round magazine, but customization is rather limited. The second allows players to choose from a wide range of ranges, has a brake and is compatible with standardized magazines. The update also introduces a hunter vest with plenty of storage for players who need it. For those of you who prefer a personal touch and a bit of head banging, the ability to build baseball bats out of barbed wire has arrived.

In terms of ultimate quality of life, Bohemia has adjusted water consumption and values to make it harder to stay high but at the same time making it less of an impact on things like the character’s health. The idea is to give players a better idea of when they should take care of those needs and prevent players from just getting into everything at once. They also added audio feedback for mode switching on the firearm and added on-screen directional effects. The second feature is customizable on player servers.

Also, players should prepare for the Christmas event. The real Santa Claus is on his way.
