Davies, Sinclair among 5 Canadians to win CONCACAF Player of the Year

Canadian Alphonso Davies, Jonathan David, Jessie Fleming, Stephanie Labbe and Christine Sinclair nominated for CONCACAF Player of the Year.
Men’s and women’s winners will be determined by regional head coaches and national team captains, media and fans through http://www.concacaf.com.
CONCACAF said the 2021 nominees were selected based on performance statistics and a vote of an expert panel made up of former professional male and female players and football broadcasters.

David (Lille, France) and Davies (Bayern Munich, Germany) face Michail Antonio of Jamaica (West Ham, England), Hirving Lozano of Mexico (Napoli, Italy) and Americans Weston McKennie (Juventus, Italy) and Christian Pulisic (Chelsea, England).

Fleming (Chelsea, England), Labbe (Paris Saint-Germain, France) and Sinclair (Portland Thorns, NWSL) take on Americans Crystal Dunn (Portland) and Lindsey Horan (Olympique Lyonnais, France) and Mayor Stephany of Mexico ( Tigres UANL, Mexico).
