It’s not clear if these improvements will make it to PC users. While it would make sense, it’s not explicitly stated in the blog post.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, Dauntless The team is also adding 36 new titles and achievements. This also includes a new platinum trophy for PlayStation 5 user. Also for PlayStation 5 users, there will be built-in audio and dynamic adaptive trigger support from the DualSense wireless controller. Players will also be able to take advantage of 3D audio to fully immerse themselves in the Shattered Isles. Last, but not least, PS5 users will also be able to instantly join select hunts from the Activity menu. There are a number of featured hunts planned at launch that players will be able to join right away.
Dauntless has come a long way since it launched in 2019. Enhanced Updates in 2020 proved controversial as players felt it reset their progress and introduced an unnecessary process to upgrade weapons and armor. Still, Dauntless has proven to be a hit thanks to its engaging gameplay, free-to-play model, and wide availability with cross-play support. Although it’s hard to compete with that juggler Monster hunter, at least someone is trying, and to some extent, is succeeding.
Dauntless Available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One, and will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 2.
