Damon Lindelof (“Leftovers”), Matt Reeves (“Batman”) and Oscar Sharp — who co-created the first film with an entirely AI-written script (“Sunspring”) — is collaborating on a medical fantasy drama for HBO Max. Original series about magical realism, titled “Human condition, ” Follows a young English doctor who must treat incurable illnesses (and the emotional problems that underlie them). The show praises from the 6th & Idaho production banner of Reeves, Warner Bros. Television and Brightstar.
6th & Idaho’s Daniel Pipski and Rafi Crohn will executive produce alongside Lindelof, Reeves and Sharp, who are also writing and directing. Tanya Seghatchian (“The Crown”) and John Woodward (“Cold War”) will executive produce through Brightstar.
Lindelof and Reeves are signing a joint contract with WBTV. Lindelof, who was recently the creator and presenter of the HBO limited series “Watchmen,” has a TV series co-created with Tara Hernandez (“The Big Bang Theory”) directed at Peacock. He’s also behind the ABC sci-fi drama series “Lost,” which ran for six seasons. Lindelof is backed by Range Media Partners and Myman Greenspan.
In addition to Robert Pattinson’s “Batman,” Reeves directed several “Batman” shows for WBTV: a Gotham-set TV series for HBO Max and an animated series for HBO Max. and Cartoon Network. Reeves’ The 6th & Idaho is also currently producing “Ordinary Joe,” a new TV series for NBC.
Sharp directed “The Kármán Line” starring Olivia Colman in 2014, “It’s No Game” in 2017 and “Zone Out” in 2018. He was represented by United Talent Agency, Echo Lake and Independent Talent. .
