D.C. winter outlook 2021-22: Below normal snow, near normal temperatures

Most of our wintry climate will come from clippers, which are sometimes moisture starved, and storms that reduce to our west, that are predominantly rain. Nonetheless, when there may be sufficient chilly air in place forward of such storms, the precipitation can begin as snow earlier than normally altering over to an icy combine or plain rain. These are tough forecasts, and we expect we’ll have our share of them this winter.
