D.C. Mayor Bowser cuts ribbon on newly renovated Franklin Square
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser celebrates the overhaul and reopening of Franklin Sq., one of many metropolis’s largest city parks exterior the Mall. The $21 million renovation — all of which was paid for by the town, Bowser mentioned — concerned the removing of dozens of mature timber, the retooling of its central plaza and fountain, and the development of a brand new pavilion.
