D.C. Council asks OIG to broaden probe of D.C. Housing Authority following alleged conflict of interest by board chair Neil Albert

All 5 members of the Council’s committee on housing signed on to a letter despatched to the Workplace of the Inspector Normal (OIG) on Friday calling for a broad probe into “points concerning procurement and contracting irregularities, conflicts of curiosity involving DCHA’s Board of Commissioners and company workers, workers intimidation and abuse of energy, and misuse of DCHA sources.” The letter goes on to allege DCHA management has “a troubling sample” of unethical, and “doubtlessly prison, conduct.”
