VIDEO GAME OF THE DAY

One the end of Cyberpunk 2077 no prerequisite is the ending of Arasaka, also known as the ending of The Devil. This epilogue does not require the completion of any other side quests — in contrast to The Star, where V must complete the quest Aldecaldos or The Sun, which requires completing Rogue and Johnny’s quests and choosing options for suitable dialogue – because it immediately follows the plot of the main quests. Still, it’s arguably the saddest ending of all, but like the rest, it’s also ambiguous and can easily be expanded and explored with DLC.

Cyberpunk 2077 Hanako Arasaka at Embers

Takemura, Saburo Arasaka’s personal bodyguard, comes into contact with V while trying to track down his killer, and eventually, he develops a relationship with V, who can convince him of it. Yorinobu Arasaka killed his biological father, although Takemura’s actions were a bit shady along the way. However, the pair are able to contact Hanako, Yorinobu’s older sister, whom they can recruit to their side by explaining the truth.

After that, Hanako strikes a deal with V: testify against Yorinobu as an eyewitness and she can save their lives from Johnny Silverhand’s fight. However, in his testimony before the board, Yorinobu started a coup. If Takemura was saved during the Search and Destroy quest, he and V will chase Yorinobu together. After finishing the last battle of Cyberpunk 2077, V will be taken to the Arasaka Orbital Station in space to safely remove the engram, but the events are quite disturbing, as they are treated coldly by medical staff with indifference and cannot be contacted contact anyone outside for weeks. .

It’s currently unclear what story the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC will lead, but Arasaka’s ending leaves room for more to be explored. If V chooses to return to Earth, no cutscenes are shown other than them looking towards Earth. If they choose to be part of Mikoshi, a digital version of them will be immortalized, just like Johnny Silverhand. Mikoshi is an inner fortress in cyberspace, which can lead to an interesting opportunity to approach, which is already a layer in TTRPG Cyberpunk Game but was excluded from 2077.

While they were at Orbital Station, V was able to watch some news, showing that Saburo’s consciousness was downloaded an engram and uploaded to Yorinobu’s body some time after the events of the finale. Arasaka Tower theft, marking a hint of a new dark age where the richest and most powerful are immortalized by the same technology. In the DLC, CDPR is able to explore this ongoing story with V, who has returned to Earth with only a short time to live.
