Cyberpunk 2077 Cyberpsychosis mod is inspired by Edgerunners

A new mod has been made available for Cyberpunk 2077and it adds cyberpsychosis to the mix.

Over on Nexus, modders DJ_Kovrik has created an Edgerunners-inspired supplement that adds a humanity cost system for cyberware implants and low humanity side effects including cyberpsychosis (thanks, Games Radar).

Wannabe Edgerunner – A simple cyberpsychosis mod basically adds humanity as a stat. This statistic depends on installed cyberware, Berserker/Sandevistan usage and kills committed. With each implant, your humanity will permanently decrease during installation.

On the other hand, using cyberware and killing enemies will temporarily decrease humanity, allowing you to restore it after getting the “Rested” effect. Other apartment events like Energized or Refreshed also work.

You can track your Humanity stat from the Cyberware menu screen or with a widget that appears above your HP bar.

In short, the mod replicates what happens when you have too much cyberware installed, as seen in the Edgerunner show on Netflix, which is a great anime tie-in.

The mod ensures that you notice glitches when you have installed too much cyberware. If left unchecked, you’ll enter Prepsychosis, inflicting a Critical Chance debuff, and may trigger the final stage, Cyberpsychosis. This level improves your movement speed, armor value and health regeneration, and if your character is not in an indoor area or in a dangerous area, it will also trigger a police spawn. But even here you lose humanity.

To prevent low humanity penalties, you can use Neuroblocker, an injector that removes the side effects of lower humanity and freezes the loss of humanity points while active. You can buy it from some Ripperdocs and craft neuroblocks thanks to a recipe available in some medical stores.
