Cuba protests: Government harasses, detained activists before protests

On Sunday, the crackdown intensified. Some critics of the government, including Washington Post commentator Abraham Jiménez Enoa, say security forces prevented them from leaving their homes. NS Facebook Forum Archipiélago, run by García Aguilera and other activists, reported that its moderator, Daniela Rojo, had disappeared. Security forces arrested another leader of the site, Carlos Ernesto Diaz Gonzalez, in the city of Cienfuegos, according to Archipiélago. The government has suspended the certificates of some Havana-based reporters working for EFE, the Spanish news agency.
