COVID-19-delayed Chopin piano competition opens in Poland

Chopin, Poland’s greatest identified and beloved classical music composer and pianist, was born in 1810 in Zelazowa Wola close to Warsaw to a Polish mom and a French father. He left Poland at 19 to broaden his music schooling in Vienna after which in Paris, the place he settled, composing, giving live shows and educating piano. He died in Paris in 1849 and is buried on the Pere Lachaise cemetery. His coronary heart is on the Holy Cross Church in Warsaw.
