NS Brown have changed head coaches frequently in recent decades, to the point that they were prepared to net an unprecedented wides in the search back in 2018, with ESPN Report at a time when Cleveland hopes to interview former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, a lifelong Browns fan, about their vacancies. Now, nearly four years later, Rice has addressed those reports again, telling Peyton and Eli Manning on their “Monday Night Football” broadcast that she still has no intention of coaching soccer.
“I definitely don’t want to be a head coach,” Rice said when asked about the old reports.
The 67-year-old former National Security Adviser joked that if she was in charge of the Browns, she would “never call a precaution,” alluding to Cleveland’s infamous fourth-quarter fall against John Elway and Broncos at the 1986 AFC Championship. The Manning Brothers did not ask if she was actually contacted back in 2018 by the team, but Rice had previously said at the time that, while she remained loyal, As a fan of the franchise, she’s not interested in coaching.
However, Rice has told Mannings that she is proud of the growing role that women play in NFL.
“I’m really excited to see women in the front office, (and) in the NFL’s main office. It’s a great breakthrough,” she said. “I think the next breakthrough is to see if women can find their way into their positions (coaching jobs)… You’re going to have to have someone go through that process… You don’t need to. have to play this game to understand it and train it well.”
