Comics and TV shows Robert Kirkman worked for decades as the co-creator behind the epic Invincible and the Walking Dead franchise and he’s no stranger San Diego Comic-Con. This year, the writer invited virtual attendees to his home to ask questions and delve into what’s available for his fictional and signature creations, Skybound Entertainment.
Kirkman opens with Skybound X, a series celebrating the 10th anniversary of the publication of Skybound, with a new story about Zombie’s Rick Grimes drawn by artist Rick Ottley and deeply thanks to fans for making NS Invincible cartoon series a great success.

Kirkman said there’s a lot of fun waiting beyond seasons 2 and 3, including additional books and a live-action adaptation. But he’s always been tight-lipped about the details, saying, “It wouldn’t be fair.” But there are some things he can share.
“The show will progress the way season 1 did. Future seasons will sometimes be akin to the comics and sometimes off the beaten track,” he said, adding, “We’re planning on doing the whole comic in a great way. We wanted to add and change things in a big way, like we did with the Invincible vs Omni Man fight in season 1.”
Kirkman also revealed that Mark’s classmate and sometimes girlfriend, Amber Bennett (Zazie Beetz), will likely have a recurring role in the series, which would be a big change from his character. her in the comics. Kirkman also recently teased that Angrstom Levy creates a portal that will appear in season 2 on Twitter. At his home, he promises fans that there will be even more bad guys for Invincible to take on, including Cybernetic Conquest. “Hopefully we’ll see more of Conquest in season 2. I thought of the perfect actor, but I didn’t say anything.”
To know the latest Zombie update, Kirkman said the 11th and final season will begin on AMC soon. “In the comics,” he said. “I think Zombie will exist in a different way”.
One of the different ways is Skybound’s recently announced mark of middle age and youth, Skybound Comet. Imprint will publish original graphic novels aimed at readers eight years and older.
Comet’s first graphic novel, Clementine Volume One, will tell the story of fan favorite Clementine – created to – Telltale’s The Walking Dead – as she and a boy named Amos travel across the country to build a new settlement free of all kinds of threats. Clementine planned as a trilogy, with art by Ignatz Prize-winning Tillie Walden (On the ray of sunshine).
Fans also asked about updates for long-rumored Zombie film. Speaking of the lack of news, Kirkman said, “There are interesting things happening behind the scenes. I remember meeting Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) Run around. All I will say? We don’t want a bad Rick Grimes movie. We? We want a good movie about Rick Grimes! We want this to be worth the wait.”
Kirkman ends the Q&A by talking about his new comic tranh CODE, with artist Jason Howard (Big girls) for Image / Skybound to Released in August.
