Colin Kaepernick’s Disliking the press seems to have caused him a business deal.

Despite being a household name, Colin Kaepernick34 years old, seems to be very selective about the press appearances and interviews he participates in. According to reports, the former midfielder’s pickiness is the reason why he recently lost a business deal. New reports suggest that an agreement for Colin Kaepernick’s special purpose acquisitions (SPACs) to get a lender focused on unmet borrowers fell last week.

Colin Kaepernick’s Mission Advancement SPAC is working to buy financial services company The Change Company. However, because Kaepernick was reportedly not going to participate in public talks about the pending deal, it was pulled from the table.

Company Change is focused on expanding access to lending and banking for Black and Latino borrowers as well as those living in low-income communities. Allegedly, as part of the rollout, executives at The Change Company wanted to Kaepernick appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ and appeared in other interviews. However, the former San Francisco 49ers player did not agree to the executives’ press requests, which is why the deal ultimately fell apart.
