Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) stated Monday she wished to see a congressional invoice on local weather change targeted on the “indigenous Black and Brown and low-income communities.”
“I imagine that the progressive caucus is moderately united in the truth that we won’t help bipartisan [infrastructure] laws with out a reconciliation invoice, and one which takes daring and enormous motion on local weather, drawing down carbon emissions, but in addition job creation and growing fairness,” Ocasio-Cortez stated in an interview with Democracy Now.
She stated she believed Home Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Majority Chief Chuck Schumer (D-NY) took the demand “fairly severely.”
