The hair care product line, OGX, has been sued after folks declare the corporate’s merchandise comprise dangerous chemical substances that allegedly trigger hair loss and scalp harm.
A category-action lawsuit has been filed towards OGX’s guardian firm Johnson and Johnson, accusing them of promoting poisonous hair care merchandise regardless of being conscious of its dangerous chemical components, WFLA reviews.
“Plaintiff (Larissa Whipple) bought the Merchandise due to Johnson & Johnson’s uniform false illustration that the Merchandise would clean, nourish, soften, restore, and/or revive her hair,” the lawsuit states. The authorized doc goes on to say the merchandise brought about them to expertise scalp harm and baldness.
One of many dangerous components within the merchandise’ method is DMDM Hydantoin, a type of the carcinogen formaldehyde, WFLA reviews. The swimsuit goes on to website that when Johnson and Johnson purchased OGX merchandise, it did not take away the ingredient from them. The corporate eliminated the chemical from its personal merchandise in 2015.
“Accordingly, Johnson & Johnson misled and deceived the general public and positioned its prospects in hurt’s means, all for the sake of elevated income,” the lawsuit argues.
