Only one Cities: Skylines 2 release date? It’s been seven years since the very successful release of Cities: Skylines on PC in 2015, then console release on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch two to three years later. Surely a sequel and next game in the Cities In Motion franchise is in the works? When can fans expect Cities: Skylines 2’s PC and console release date?
What is the Cities: Skylines 2 release date on PC?
Cities: Skylines 2 could release in late 2022, although it has yet to be officially announced. The next Cities game to appear in infamous Nvidia GeForce Now leak from last year with a release date of February 15, 2022, although every release date on that list appears to be outdated. However, it looks like Cities: Skylines 2 is in active development, so there’s a good chance a sequel could be announced in the next few months and released later this year. There’s a new DLC expansion this month, Cities: Skyline – Airport, so it won’t be for another few months.
What is the Cities: Skylines 2 PS5, PS4 and Xbox release date?
Cities: Skylines 2 will release with the PC version in 2022, if that happens or won’t be out until around 2023-2024. It took two years for Cities: Skylines to reach the PlayStation and Xbox platforms as Paradox Interactive tends to focus on PC first. However, it is changing this stance in recent years – Survive on Mars, for example, is launched on the console along with the PC. It depends on how much Paradox prices the console platform for the Cities game.
Will there be a Switch version of Cities: Skylines 2?
It’s still possible that Cities: Skylines 2 will release on the Nintendo Switch, despite the age of the system, as Paradox games generally don’t challenge the system too much. If so, Cities: Skylines 2 will come out a bit later than the console versions.
