Chris Evans Made Sure The MCU’s Captain America Wasn’t Too Snarky

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is famous for packing all of its movies and TV shows with a lot of humor, and much of it is down to variety and satire. Chris Evans’ Captain America generated plenty of good laughs during his decades-long tenure as the beating heart of the entire series, but he’s not one to let people down or overlook a return. about to end.

A brief but by no means exhaustive list, MCU characters known for their slyness over the years include Tony Stark, Nick Fury, Loki, Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Doctor Strange , War Machine, Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes and more, that division has been pretty well covered since the summer of 2008.

Steve Rogers is a much more sincere, sincere and trustworthy presence than the names mentioned above, and in a new interview to celebrate his 10th anniversary. First Avenger, writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely revealed that Evans was an integral part of Steve’s personality development, and even offered a few jokes that didn’t match his reputation like a beacon of hope and positivity.

“He is very conscious about not wanting to be cranky. It’s been very well understood about Captain America, which is that if this guy is going to fly like a figure and a figure of authority, then in the end, he must have instant gravity, no matter the situation. It’s something we all realize, that Steve Rogers was born Captain America, he just didn’t have the body for that. And Evans got it. I think he might have taken a joke or two as I remember.”

The longer an actor stays with the MCU, the more opinions they have to contribute to their roles, especially if fans consider them to be their heart. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is in a much different place than where we first met him a decade ago, and much of that is due to his connection to the scammer, most of which weren’t on the page when he first wore the horns in Kenneth Branagh’s God of thunder. The same is true for Evans and Captain America, who completely understood what to expect from the World War II icon. | Chris Evans Made Sure The MCU’s Captain America Wasn’t Too Snarky
