Chicago violence: Off-duty Cook County Forest Preserves officer attacked in Hyde Park attempted robbery, CPD says

CHICAGO (WLS) — An off-duty Cook dinner County Forest Preserves officer was attacked in an tried theft early Tuesday morning in Chicago’s South Aspect Hyde Park neighborhood, CPD mentioned.

Chicago police mentioned the 33-year-old officer was attacked simply earlier than 3 a.m. within the 5100-block of South Kimbark Avenue.

Somebody reportedly exited a black SUV and tried to rob him. After a battle, the suspect left the scene.

The off-duty officer suffered some minor scrapes and refused remedy, Chicago police mentioned. His title hasn’t but been launched.

Space One detectives are investigating. Nobody was in custody later Tuesday morning.
