Chicago shooting: Police shoot suspect in Bronzeville

CHICAGO (WLS) — A Chicago police officer shot a suspect within the leg within the Bronzeville neighborhood Sunday evening, CPD stated.

Police stated officers had been conducting a visitors cease within the 4500-block of South Drexel Boulevard at about 9:37 p.m. after they approached two folks.

One among them fled into an alley and an officer fired and struck him within the leg, police stated.

The suspect was transported to the College of Chicago Medical Middle in good situation.

Police stated a gun was recovered from the scene and no officers had been injured.

The Civilian Workplace of Police Accountability is investigating the capturing and the officers concerned might be positioned on routine administrative duties for 30 days.
