Important matches

Villarreal vs. Manchester United, Tuesday, 12:45 p.m. ET (Supreme +)

Featured game | Villarreal vs. Manchester United

NAME: James Benge
PICK:
Villarreal 1, Manchester United 1
MAN: Geronimo Rulli
WHY: Villarreal probably didn’t have the offensive firepower to inflict too much damage on United but a good performance in the backline and they could be enough to prey on United’s insecurities to snatch a point.

NAME: Chuck’s stall
PICK: Villarreal 1, Manchester United 2
MAN: Cristiano Ronaldo
WHY: With Ole’s departure, a return to basics will see Manchester United run the business with UCL himself Cristiano Ronaldo leading the team to victory.

NAME: Mike L. Goodman
PICK:
Villarreal 1, Manchester United 0
MAN: Dani Parego
WHY: Parejo is Villarreal’s ageless wonder midfielder, and United’s weakest point is control of the midfield. Look for him to create a goal with his relentless passing.

NAME: Jonathan Johnson
PICK: Villarreal 1, Manchester United 1
MAN: David de Gea
WHY: The Reds are very vulnerable while the Spaniard needs a win and needs another De Gea senior to secure a point.

Chelsea vs. Juventus, Tuesday, 3 p.m. ET (Supreme +)

Featured game | Chelsea vs. Juventus

NAME: James Benge
PICK:
Chelsea 2, Juventus 0
MAN: N’Golo Kante
WHY: Chelsea are starting to slouch at both ends of the pitch and the Frenchman rarely disappoints in the biggest games.

NAME: Chuck’s stall
PICK: Chelsea 1, Juventus 1
MAN: Reece James
WHY: This is a tough group with both Chelsea and Juventus getting good results this weekend. As a two-goal win could put Chelsea at the top of the table, I think they’ll go strong here but it won’t be enough as they can get a draw.

NAME: Mike L. Goodman
PICK:
Chelsea 1, Juventus 0
MAN: Reece James
WHY: James has joined Chelsea in the last two months and Tuchel is adjusting his tactics to keep the full-back active. Juventus’ defense has improved recently, but James is in a form that can make even the best of defences look silly.

NAME: Jonathan Johnson
PICK:
Chelsea 1, Juventus 0
MAN: Jorginho
WHY: Thomas Tuchel didn’t like first or second and the group makeup was just challenging enough to overtake Massimiliano Allegri for the top spot. It will be tight, though.

Barcelona vs. Benfica, Tuesday, 3 p.m. ET (Supreme +)

Featured game | Barcelona vs. Benfica

NAME: James Benge
PICK:
Barcelona 1, Benfica 0
MAN: Gavi
WHY: Barcelona looked more like the real Barcelona in Xavi’s first game. He will certainly entrust his young players with confidence and every sign from their recent progress suggests they will.

NAME: Chuck’s stall
PICK: Barcelona 2, Benfica 0
MAN: Memphis Depay
WHY: One Memphis Depay a day keeps the doctor away. Barcelona will bring their derby win with them and good feelings to have Xavi on the line to secure a spot in the next round of UCL.

NAME: Mike L. Goodman
PICK:
Barcelona 1, Benfica 0
MAN: Gerard Pique
WHY: One thing Xavi knows well is that sometimes against a solid defense even if you have all the possession in the world, a key defender needs to have a set goal to get the three points. necessary, needs.

NAME: Jonathan Johnson
PICK:
Barcelona 2, Benfica 1
MAN: Memphis Depay
WHY: This may need a winner later to decide it, but Xavi will get his first Champions League win to continue his fine start at Camp Nou.

Manchester City vs. Paris Saint-Germain, Wednesday, 3 p.m. ET (Supreme +)

Featured game | Manchester City vs. PSG

NAME: James Benge
PICK:
Man City 2, PSG 0
MAN: Phil Foden
WHY: PSG are in doubt and at odds while Man City are on a journey with plenty of space to accelerate. This could be an opportunity for Guardiola’s men to really put their muscles in motion.

NAME: Chuck’s stall
PICK: Man City 2, PSG 2
MAN: Joao Cancelo
WHY: As always, this is a match that can go both ways. Messi could not have scored his first goal for PSG at a better time with Man City approaching but Cancelo’s form has been unbelievable.

NAME: Mike L. Goodman
PICK:
Man City 2, PSG 0
MAN: Phil Foden
WHY: Man City continue to impress, while PSG’s struggling version despite their stars’ continued lack of performance. In this case, it would be Foden’s trick that yields the date.

NAME: Jonathan Johnson
PICK:
Man City 1, PSG 2
MAN: Kylian Mbappe
WHY: While all eyes will be on Mauricio Pochettino as United’s links grow, the French giants will produce one of their best performances of the season.

Atletico Madrid vs. AC Milan, Wednesday, 3 p.m. ET (Supreme +)

Featured game | Atlético Madrid vs. AC Milan

NAME: James Benge
PICK:
Atletico Madrid 2, AC Milan 3
MAN: Olivier Giroud
WHY: Atletico’s defense looks like something achievable. With nothing to lose and all to gain, Milan may just need to do enough to survive in Europe for a while longer.

NAME: Chuck’s stall
PICK: Atletico Madrid 2, AC Milan 0
MAN: Angel Correa
WHY: Milan have shown that they are not a strong enough team to compete on both fronts, so with the chance to win Serie A, I cannot understand why they would want to win this game when it gives them more European matches. .

NAME: Mike L. Goodman
PICK:
Atletico Madrid 0, AC Milan 1
MAN: Brahim Diaz
WHY: It was a hugely disappointing return for CL for Milan despite some encouraging performances. Look for a typical Atleti defense, countered by a moment of magic.

NAME: Jonathan Johnson
PICK:
Atletico Madrid 1, AC Milan 1
MAN: Antoine Griezmann
WHY: Both teams can win although it won’t change much with the Italians qualifying for the Europa League and the Spaniards second.

FC Sheriff vs. Real Madrid, Wednesday, 3 p.m. ET (Supreme +)

Featured game | Sheriff Tiraspol vs. Real Madrid

NAME: James Benge
PICK: FC Sheriff 0, Real Madrid 4
MAN: Karim Benzema
WHY: The party wasn’t over for the Sheriff even if they needed Shakhtar’s favor. The Moldovans lived dangerously without the ball throughout the group stage, which would eventually lead to a crushing defeat.

NAME: Chuck’s stall
PICK: FC Sheriff 0, Real Madrid 2
MAN: Vinicius Junior
WHY: The Sheriff has had a Champions League for ages but Real Madrid won’t appear twice before them.

NAME: Mike L. Goodman
PICK: FC Sheriff 0, Real Madrid 2
MAN: Karim Benzema
WHY: The Sheriff shocked the world last time, but didn’t stop Madrid from creating plenty of delicious opportunities. This time, look for Benzema, La Liga’s best player this season to book a goal.

NAME: Jonathan Johnson
PICK:
FC Sheriff 1, Real Madrid 3
MAN: Karim Benzema
WHY: Los Blancos will avenge a humiliating loss to the cults earlier this season and remind them who’s boss.
