Celtic are interested in Manchester City right-back Ian Couto.

The Hopes are hoping to bring the 19-year-old Brazilian to Parkhed on loan for next season, but will face competition from Portuguese clubs for his services.

Couto, who won the 2019 World Cup with Brazil, spent last season on loan at Girona La Liga 2, where he played 4 times in Cuba del Rey and 22 times in the Segunda Division.

He joined Manchester City from the Brazilian team Coritiba last summer and will remain at the Etihad Stadium until 2025.
