Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red thinks the game will still be on track when all is said and done and fixes are applied.
When Cyberpunk 2077 Having had a very difficult time since the game’s launch, the game’s developers are still confident that it will eventually succeed. In fact, CD Projekt Red president Adam Kiciński recently said in an interview that he still believes Cyberpunk 2077 will eventually be considered a success.
There have been some signs that gamers are getting into the game a bit. Cyberpunk 2077 was launched with so many bugs and glitches that it had to be removed from the PlayStation’s online store page but since then its developers have been working on improvements step by step. Some of those improvements convinced players to give it another chance, and that even resulted in the game receiving a flooded with positive reviews on Steam. Kiciński clearly believes the game will continue to progress in that direction.
The president of CD Projekt Red spoke to the Polish economic newspaper Rzeczpospolita and said that Cyberpunk 2077 being in the last headings will help it. More specifically, according to Video Games Chronicle, the game’s brand awareness means it will eventually be considered a success.
At one point, the moderator compared the path of Cyberpunk 2077 what developer have to do with all Witcher Game. In that regard, he said that the development team tried to go one step further than what people saw when it was first released. He added that Cyberpunk is the most complex and ambitious project the company has undertaken in its 27-year history.
Kiciński also made it clear that he was aware that there were mistakes in both the development process and the decisions made leading up to the game’s release. Those issues are still being pointed out by streamers today, such as PewDiePie’s comparison of Cyberpunk 2077 and GTA trilogy. However, he still believes that eventually, the public will see the work included in the game. He added that he thinks it “will be considered a very good game,” and will eventually sell as well as other CDPR titles.
Of course, it’s possible that the recent sale price drop could help with that while also keeping the game’s name in front of users. Some retailers have offered this game for at least half of the regular asking price and have at least one slot Cyberpunk 2077 has been provided for an “extremely cheap” price.
Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia and Xbox One with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
