Cast in New Trailer for ‘Death on the Nile’
Disney shared a special look at the upcoming whodunnit Death on the Nile, with a new trailer alongside some new character posters for Kenneth Branagh’s mystery film.
Based on the 1937 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie, Death on the Nile sports a host of stars, including Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Dawn French, Armie Hammer, Letitia Wright, Jennifer Saunders, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, etc. Kenneth Branagh leads the cast, playing the detective. Hercule Poirot, and film director.
Kenneth Branagh previously starred and directed in another Agatha Christie film adaptation with Murder in the East show, received mixed reviews and was considered a box office blockbuster. However, his performance as Detective Poirot received critical acclaim, along with his directing efforts for the film.
Death on the Nile Still, the stellar cast could help it stay out of bomb territory, especially with Gal Gadot, Dawn French and Annette Bening at the forefront of marketing. The name Branagh as director alone should ease Disney’s fears of another bombshell.
Armie Hammer hasn’t been hiding much about the promotional material, despite the egregious sexual assault allegations against the actor. Letitia Wright is also featured prominently in the document, after some controversy involving her Questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Death on the Nile is currently out on February 10th and will hopefully do much better than Branagh’s previous Christie adaptation.
