Casanova pleads not guilty of attempted murder while his co-defendant strikes a plea agreement with prosecutors
New legal details have appeared in By Casanova case. According to reports, the 35-year-old rapper has pleaded not guilty to a attempted murder of the accused he is facing. However, although he pleaded not guilty, By Casanova The co-defendant in the case – Jarrett “Jayecee” Crisler, who is accused of shooting two people – is allegedly working on a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Based on AllHipHop, US Attorney Damian Williams shared,
“Accused [Jarrett Crisler] and the government reached a tentative agreement. The parties are working to finalize the plea in this regard.”
By Casanova The arrangement took place earlier this week where he pleaded not guilty to the new charges. He say,
“I have been provided with a copy of the indictment containing the charges against me and have reviewed it with my attorney. After consulting with an attorney, I wish to plead not guilty.”
As previously reported, a native of New York Casanova, born Caswell Senior, has been in police custody for nearly a year for allegedly participating in a gang-related scam.
The alleged attempted murder incident with which the rapper was involved took place in October 2020 outside Diamond King adult entertainment club in Miami. Reportedly a Crip gang member was offended by the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang sign Casanova was deemed ostentatious, leading to the couple going back and forth.
Following an argument between the men, Jarrett Crisler, a member of the Florida-based Gorilla Stone gang, allegedly shot gang member Crip and one of his associates.
According to reports, both victims were airlifted to a local hospital, treated for their injuries, and eventually recovered.
On December 1, 2020, prosecutors from the Southern District of New York Federal Court announced an arrest warrant. Casanova, who they claim is the leader in the Gorilla Stone Gang. He was among 18 alleged members of the gang charged with multiple counts of fraud, murder, drugs, firearms and fraud.
Once the order is issued, it doesn’t take long Casanova to surrender himself to the government. Earlier this month, reports revealed that an attempted murder charge had been added to the charges against the rapper.
