Carrot recall 2021: Bunny Luv, O Organics, Cal-Organic, Grimmway Farms bagged shredded, baby carrots due to salmonella risk

Grimmway Farms is voluntarily recalling bagged carrots sold at grocery stores nationwide because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria.

The recall includes carrots sold under the Bunny Luv, Cal-Organic, O Organics and Grimmway Farms private labels. All recalled retail products have a nine-character batch code that begins with 195, 196, or 197 and ends with BF or SP.

The company said the recall was the result of a routine internal audit. To date, there have been no illnesses associated with the recall.

In addition to the carrots sold at retail stores, Grimmway Farms said it is also recalling carrots that have reached food manufacturers and food service distributors.

Anyone in possession of the recalled product should not consume it and should destroy or discard it.

Consumers with questions can contact Grimmway Farms customer service at 1-800-301-3101, MF, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET, or visit grimmway.com.
