Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Phil Gould phone call, Tevita Pangai Jr, Trent Barrett

Phil Gould wasted no time telling Canterbury’s struggling squad where they stood with him, while revealing he wanted to land Tevita Pangai Jr to make “a statement”.

Just days after being named the club’s general manager of football, Gould spoke to Trent Barrett’s team to explain what he wants from them for the rest of the season.

There has been a lot of speculation about who Canterbury will look to get rid of, but Gould said everyone will have a fresh start under his leadership.
