Can you get 100 Overshields in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2?

Fans were shocked to find out that the build ability was removed when Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Resistance started last weekend. However, Epic Games has included a new Overshield mechanic to Fortniteso you have a little extra protection without the ability to build.

But with so many new features included in the update, it can be difficult to keep track of how they all work. So, if you want to know more about the Overshield mechanic, here’s everything you need to know. Including if it can be maxed out at 100.

What is Overshield in Fortnite?

Overshield is a new brand Fortnite mechanics have been done to give the player some extra protection while building abilities are unavailable.

Since the building has only been demolished for over a week, it is possible that the Overshield mechanic will be demolished when it resumes operations, but this has yet to be confirmed by Epic game.

Overshields cannot be manually filled like normal shields. Instead, players will notice the little shield icon next to their health bar begins to regenerate automatically as soon as they jump off the Battle Bus.

Once the player takes damage from other enemies, their Overshield will deplete, followed by the normal shield and then your health. But stay out of the match for 5 seconds or more and your Overshield will automatically start to regenerate.

Can you get 100 Overshields in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2?

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to get 100 Overshields in Fortnite Chapter 3 Part 2. The player cannot refill his Overshield manually, this will automatically start in the air for 5 seconds or more and will stop at 50.

With full health, shield and Overshield, the maximum health a player can get is 250.
