Some of the official Caldera screenshots take a look at the unique environments of the map. While players are used to large city Verdansk and modern attractions like stadiums and hospitals, Caldera limits technological advancements a bit. Outside of a resort, city strip, and several village huts, players will come across a plethora of areas with older structures and more nature-focused attractions.

Features of Caldera some visually impressive beaches and cave systems, with a volcano also included in the map. Long winding streets can be seen as well as several military bases and hanging houses. Several ancient ruins were on display, including a lighthouse. Other locations include the beachhead, the station, and the submarine pen, all of which offer a range of different buildings and environments for combat. The map does appear to be a bit vertical despite the lack of skyscrapers, which should ensure some varied matches and a chance for players to gain a tactical advantage.

Two more screenshots focusing on air combat, a brand new builder Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific. Call of Duty: Warzone‘s plane will allow players to battle each other in the sky, and it will be interesting to see how much damage they can do to those on the ground. AA trucks will also be introduced, allowing the player to shoot down any pilot who is showing a nuisance.

One final screenshot shows Call of Duty: VanguardArthur Kingsley’s fighting alongside Frank Woods from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Captain Price from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The image makes it clear to players that their cosmetics from the previous two games will be fully usable in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific, with the game featuring a wide range of old and new content. With Caldera will be out December 9 – December 8 for Call of Duty: Vanguard owners due to early access – the wait for a new map is almost over.
