Call of Duty: Vanguard Fans may be positive about the multiplayer part of the game in general, but that doesn’t mean they’re satisfied with every aspect of the game. The proliferation of weapons has been a hot issue for Call of Duty: Vanguard so far, but a bunch of new changes should please those disappointed with the inclusion.

For those unfamiliar with Call of Duty: Vanguardweapons bloom, the system essentially adds an element of randomness to the game’s weapons. This means that projectiles are not guaranteed to go exactly where the player is aiming, with some shots traveling further in one direction than expected. While this feature has been seen in games like Fortnite and Overwatch, Call of Duty fans weren’t pleased to see the random spread introduced into the World War 2 shooter, and many negative comments were made about it.

Fortunately, a recent Call of Duty: Vanguard update made some major tweaks to the weapon’s bloom. YouTuber XclusiveAce has shown how nerfed the cyst is in a new video, showing that players should now have less trouble hitting the target. Instead of limiting blooms to one or two weapons, Sledgehammer tweaked the stats on each weapon. Whether they prefer SMGs or Assault Rifles, players will be able to see the change immediately.

A comparison shared by the Youtuber clearly shows how much more accurate the current weapon is, with every SMG having a tighter recoil. M1928 solid and Sten is below average benefited the most from the change, with the former blooming making the gun fire from afar extremely poorly. Now, they will be much more viable. The only downside to the MP-40 prior to this change was its Bloom, as it was another high-impact weapon. However, with this adjustment, it will be even more dangerous.

On the Assault Rifle side, Volk and AS44 have received a lot of support thanks to the blossoming rework. While Volk was good enough with high bloom, it should be much better now. More importantly, AS44 should really be usable, as the weapon was useless prior to the change. While it was once the most obvious example of a bloom going too far, it has now matched the rest of the weapons. As mentioned by XclusiveAce in Call of Duty: Vanguard videotapes, a drop of about 60%, which is a huge step in the right direction.

While some Call of Duty: Vanguard player would like to see the weapon completely eliminated, that seems unlikely. For now, most should be happy with this rework, and it’s a good sign that Sledgehammer was able to make such a significant adjustment so quickly.

Call of Duty: Vanguard currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
