California Gov. Newsom signs bill that curtails productivity quotas used by companies such as Amazon

The California legislation isn’t the one effort by lawmakers concentrating on Amazon. Earlier this month, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) despatched a letter to the top of the U.S. Equal Employment Alternative Fee, urging the agency to investigate “Amazon’s systemic failure to supply ample lodging” for pregnant warehouse workers. The letter cites instances wherein Amazon didn’t modify job duties or enable affordable day without work, in attainable violation of the Being pregnant Discrimination Act and People With Disabilities Act, in accordance with the letter despatched to EEOC Chair Charlotte Burrows. 5 different senators, together with Sen.
