Calgary Police investigating swatting incident in U.S. – Calgary

The Calgary Police Service is investigating what seems to be a swatting occasion involving an American highschool.

Swatting refers to creating a faux emergency name as a way to provoke an emergency response.

Officers started receiving involved cellphone calls a few Snapchat message allegedly threatening a highschool round 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening.

Police now consider the social media posts are associated to a swatting incident in the USA aimed toward Central Excessive College, which bears an identical title to a faculty in Calgary.

In an announcement, CPS says there isn’t any cause to consider the threats are concentrating on any faculty in Calgary and officers will proceed to work with regulation enforcement south of the border.
