Buying nail polish can unlock content in Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5
Xbox and popular nail polish brand OPI are kicking off the new year with a burst of color as they team up to launch a new game-inspired nail polish palette for spring 2022, involving the Xbox exclusive titles Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite.
With a partnership between Xbox and OPI, the world’s number one nail polish brand, the collection will be available at retail stores where OPI products are sold, such as ULTA. According to Xbox News, with each qualifying purchase, US players can unlock special in-game content for Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite will be creatively match the player’s ball.
For nail polish and gaming lovers, this can be considered a dream come true, as players can now pair their nails with Xbox Game Pass titles and gaming jargon. For example, nail polish names like Achievement Unlocked, in lilac, or the related phrase, You Had Me At Halo, in galaxy blue, are just a few of the names in the 12-color palette. Players can also enter a contest to win a custom Xbox Wireless Controller in one of the most trending colors – Achievement Unlocked, Racing to Find Pink and Can’t CTRL ME for Cardboard pink, lavender and purple to pair with their nail art.
On February 1, 2022, the Spring 2022 palette will be available for purchase at retailers including OPI.com, Amazon, CVS, Target, Beauty Brands, Chatters, Dillard’s, Hudson’s Bay, Regis, Sally Beauty, Amazon Beauty, etc. Currently, the collection is up for pre-order on Amazon for $13.00 USD each. Upon release, the OPI x Xbox Nail Lacquers will retail for $10.50 USD, while the Infinite Shine color will retail for $13.00 USD. However, only a select number of retailers can offer players in-game content for Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5.
