Breakers will be very different from other DBZ games

Recently, Bandai Namco announced the next console Dragon ball electronic games. Dragon Ball: The Breakers coming to PC and consoles in 2022 and it won’t be normal Dragon ball fare. NS Dragon ball The franchise has long been associated with fighting games. Many have debuted over the years with varying quality and reputation among the fans, but recently Bandai has hit gold with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball FighterZ. Both games have sold over 8 million copies, one because it is a comprehensive game Dragon ball simulator and other game because this is the best fighting game seven dragon pearls used to have. It makes sense to deviate from this category as these genres are very hard to come by.

VIDEO GAME OF THE DAY

Dragon ball It’s no longer strange to try different genres. The series has a surprisingly long history of RPGs and action RPGs, at most recently Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Adaptations of Goku’s journeys are very popular, and the format also allows for a lot of unorthodox content to be used. Dragon ball has tackled a lot of genres in its history, but The Breakers it seems like the franchise is in a whole new direction with the experimental genre that has been growing slowly over the past few years.

What is Dragon Ball: The Breakers?

asymmetrical multiplayer game Bandai Namco Cell Frieza Buu

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is an asymmetrical multiplayer game with a similar setting to Dead by daylight and Friday the 13th game. Up to seven players will act as Survivors, ordinary citizens of Dragon ball who were sucked into the Temporal Seam and had to try to escape. The eighth player will play as a Raider, appearing as Cell, Buu or Frieza to wreak havoc on the Survivors and their escape attempts. Raiders grow stronger over time, so Survivors need to equip and move efficiently. An imbalance of power of this magnitude has not been seen in any Dragon ball previous game, and The Breakers built around it.

In their quest to escape the Temporal Seam and the efforts of one of the Dragon ballAs powerful villains in the arc, the Survivors need to cooperate and use everything at their disposal to win. A Super Time Machine lies on the field, and the Survivors need to make it work and climb on it to escape and win the match. To do this, they will have to use vehicles, weapons, tools and weapons around the map to get an advantage and complete objectives. seven dragon pearlsTypical focus of combat and high portability hasn’t gone away, as it looks like developer Dimps is bringing the feeling Xenoverse game with this new title. However, Survivor players don’t want to go head-to-head with the Raider when they can avoid it.

How Dragon Ball: The Breakers Is Different From Itself

Everything about Dragon Ball: The Breakers To be completely different from Dragon ball Game, and even most Dragon ball media. Focusing on escaping and feeling helpless in the face of otherworldly enemies is not what Dragon ball The series has generated a lot of attention. Sure, there were times when superior warriors tried to buy time for a more capable ally to arrive, but untrained civilians wouldn’t engage in major skirmishes. It will be interesting to see how the game balances out once its closed beta launches and what tools and powers both sides are allowed to use.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers was probably an experiment by Bandai Namco to see if its Shonen Jump attributes could used in asymmetrical multiplayer. Even in the broader context of anime games, there’s nothing centered around asymmetrical goals. The closest example would probably be the player being able to control raid bosses in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and that still comes in the form of a war. While this seems like a trend-following on the part of Bandai, it’s still a breath of fresh air in the anime game space. Hope, Dragon Ball: The Breakers will be a successful experiment for alternative adaptations of popular products and fans may see a more diverse output of licensed games in the future.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers will launch in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
