Here’s everything you need to know about Bosch: Legacy.

What does it talk about?

Bosch is a police procedural drama series about LAPD detective Harry Bosch. The new series, Bosch: Legacy, sees Bosch retreating from the LAPD – but working as a private detective instead.

This year he’s been involved in two big cases: trying to track down the deceased heir to a dying billionaire and volunteering with the local police department to track down a serial rapist.

Bosch found himself working with his old rival, attorney Honey Chandler, as well as his daughter, Maddie, who has now joined the LAPD.

Is it based on a book?

Yes, that’s right. Harry Bosch is a character who first appeared in the 1992 novel The Black Echo, one of 21 Bosch novels written by Michael Connolly.

Bosch: Legacy is an adaptation of 2016’s Goodbye to the Wrong Side, which is Bosch’s nineteenth novel to be published.

Who is in the cast?

Tituss Welliver once again plays Hieronymous ‘Harry’ Bosch. You may recognize Welliver from LOST, The Good Wife, Deadwood, or Sons of Anarchy. He also previously played Bosch for seven seasons on Amazon Prime.

Mimi Rogers takes on the role of attorney Honey ‘Money’ Chandler from Bosch. Rogers is known for film roles including The Rapture (1991) and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), and television roles such as Mad Men, The X Files, and Two and a Half Men.

They star Madison Lintz (The Walking Dead), who plays Maddie Bosch, and Stephen A. Chang (Shameless), who plays Maurice ‘Mo’ Bassi, a woman helping the newly independent PI Bosch. Denise G. Sanchez (Mayans MC, The Good Place) plays Reina Vasquez, Maddie Bosch’s LAPD partner.

When and how can I view it?

Bosch: Legacy is available to stream on Amazon Freevee (formerly IMDb TV). It’s the free but ad-supported version of Amazon Prime (which you can access through the Amazon Prime app), a relatively new streaming service that features originals like Alex Rider and letterheads. institutions such as Community and The West Wing.

The first four episodes of Bosch: Legacy are available on Amazon Freevee on Friday, May 6. Two more will release later on Friday, May 13, another two on Friday, May 20 and later. those are the final two episodes (which brings you to a total of ten episodes altogether) on Friday, May 27.

Will there be a second series?

Yes, yes! Before the first series of Bosch: Legacy aired, Amazon Freevee ordered a second series of the new spin-off. At the moment, very little is known about the second Bosch: Legacy series – which book it could adapt, what characters will appear, etc – other than, of course, the fact that Titus Welliver will once again play the role of Harry. Bosch.

Why should I watch it?

If you’re a Bosch fan who was disappointed when the series ended in 2021, the return of the character – supposedly the show’s eighth season – will certainly be good news.
