Boris Johnson announces tougher entry rules after 2 omicron cases detected in UK

The UK also added four new African countries to its travel “red list” on Saturday, meaning travel is now restricted to a total of 10 African countries: Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Travelers from those countries will be denied entry to the UK, unless they are UK or Irish citizens or residents, in which case they will have to quarantine at a government-approved hotel in 10 days.
