Bobby Kotick is expected to leave Activision Blizzard after the deal with Microsoft

Despite that, sources told The Wall Street Journal that Kotick will leave Activision Blizzard once the deal is finalized. The closing timeline is fiscal year 2023, placing it sometime between July 2022 and June 2023.

In terms of profits, Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard is a sharp move, but it doesn’t do much for the troubled office culture that is already prevalent in the company.
