Boba Fett’s Book: Is Cad Bane Dead or Alive?

Books by Boba Fett episode 7 is the final installment of the Disney Plus series, ending the protagonist’s feud with the Pyke Syndicate. While the feud hasn’t seen much bloodshed from its protagonists, there seems to have been at least one major casualty – Boba Fett shows up to kill Cad Bane. But is the bounty hunter really dead, or is there a glimmer of hope that the fearsome gunman is still alive?

Does Cad Bane Die in The Book of Boba Fett?

Well, it looks like Cad Bane really died in The Book of Boba Fett. Although the character, who previously made a name for himself in The Clone Wars franchise, only made his first live-action appearance in episode 6, it seems his journey has been short-lived. He was killed by Boba Fett and that means we’ll finally see him in close-up human form.

While Star Wars has a habit of making us think characters are dead before resurrecting them – see Darth Maul, Palpatine, and even The Book of Boba Fett’s Cobb Vanth – Cad Bane receives a piercing spear passed the middle and then seemed to take his last breath indicating that he could pass away normally.

However, that still doesn’t mean he won’t appear in other Star Wars media. There’s a large amount of time between the events of the Clone Wars and Return of the Jedi, where Cad Bane is bounty hunting, so he might still appear elsewhere. But those hoping for a Cad Bane spin-off or something similar will likely have to wait.

Those who’ve seen Cad Bane’s live-action debut can also check out The Clone Wars and his appearances there. His death in The Book of Boba Fett is all the more poignant considering how many clones he killed throughout the animated series, and how he eventually succumbed to the first cloned clone. modeled after Jango Fett.
