Blue cheese is distinctive and sophisticated sufficient to be eaten by itself. On a cheeseboard, blue is often positioned because the strongest choice, reverse the mildest cheeses, like recent chevre and buttery bries. However there are various exceptions. Blue cheeses with stronger flavors are likely to go properly with a chew of one thing candy: slices of recent pear or apple, a handful of grapes, dried figs or honey. Milder blues, or these with woodsy or natural flavors, style good with recent or sun-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic, walnuts, hazelnuts, mustard, olives or roasted mushrooms.
