The tiger will have a chance to shine at Bloomingdale’s on Thursday when the department store opens a cat pop-up as part of this year’s Lunar New Year celebrations, which begin February 1.

The store will offer a variety of gifts for men, women and children inspired by the Year of the Goat across the fashion, beauty and home sectors. That includes Kenzo’s “The Year of the Tiger Capsule Collection,” along with ready-to-wear products from Anine Bing and Alice + Olivia. Tiger-themed accessories from Marc Jacobs, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tory Burch and others will also be offered.

In the beauty arena, Givenchy and MAC’s Lunar New Year collections are being offered alongside lotions and facials from Mount Lai, a beauty brand with roots in ancient medicine. Chinese transmission. Rounding out the assortment are tiger crystal sculptures from Baccarat and Lalique.

The store’s design is inspired by the Chinese zodiac, especially the year of the Tiger, and includes traditional celebratory decorations in a red and gold color scheme. Signs of the Lunar New Year will be placed throughout the shop for guests to learn about the festival.
