Blacklist International and ONIC PH Received praise from RRQ Xinnn

One of the star players of RRQ Hoshi is Yesaya “XINNN” Armando Wowiling, via a podcast, expressed his surprise at how dominant Blacklist International was in the M3 World Championship. According to the pro, Blacklist International rarely takes its practice matches against RRQ seriously, which caught his team off guard during the playoffs of the M3 World Championship. XINNN also shared his thoughts on ONIC Philippines (PH)’s performance during the tournament and compared his iconic split push strategy to DOTA 2’s “Rat” strategy. He also discussed about unorthodox but effective strategies he observed from PH groups that other regions should follow.

RRQ Xinnn comments on Blacklist International’s performance at the M3 world championships

Blacklist International’s impressive performance at the M3 World Championship caught the attention of one of Indonesia’s legendary professional Mobile Legends players. Through a podcast from the YouTube channel, XINNN revealed that his team was completely caught off guard by Blacklist International’s play.

According to XINNN, Blacklist International has never won a practice match against his team, RRQ Hoshi. This makes the team confident that they can easily beat the defending champion Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) PH Season 8.

“They (Blacklist International) never beat us (RRQ) in scrims. The scores were like 4-0, 4-1. But in the tournament, they beat us 3-0.” stated XINNN.

The pro added that Blacklist International may have analyzed the enemy’s strategy during scrims and not taken it seriously.

“In scrim, there are matches that are nothing really serious, maybe (teams) just want to analyze tactics or there are teams that like to show their strength to slam their opponents in scrim,” stated XINNN.

RRQ Xinnn admits that ONIC PH’s “Banana Split” strategy is difficult to deal with

Xinnn says that ONIC PH is a much tougher competitor than Blacklist International. He added that his team had to go through a very difficult time due to ONIC PH’s split push strategy.

“For me personally, the match between RRQ (Hoshi) against Onic PH is more difficult than the match against Blacklist International,” Xinn said. “I think because Blacklist International didn’t use a split push strategy, but Onic PH did.”

ONIC PH is widely known for its “Banana Split” strategy. The team excels at putting pressure on the opposing team by continuously effectively dividing its forces to push lane while not giving the enemy any breathing room.

Xinnn further explains how he struggles with ONIC PH as team PH has never shown their trump card in practice matches.

“Honestly, I fought against ONIC PH’s strategy of pushing for a split. We were shocked, because prior to season 8 doing the Onic PH training sessions, we had never seen this tactic before.” Xinn said.

With Blacklist International and ONIC PH currently the strongest teams in the world, all eyes will be on the two PH powerhouses as a new competitive season unfolds in the Mobile Legends e-sports scene.
