Black Ops cold war “Unplayable” as game keeps crashing after update

Owner of Black Ops’ Cold War on PC is being outraged because the game is still experiencing serious crashes after the title’s most recent update from early December.

Latest Black Ops’ Cold War Update the cause of the problem on the PC

On December 6, a new update for Black Ops’ Cold War went live to bring the final season of the game to an end and prepare for the introduction Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season one, went live on December 8.

Treyarch Studios claims that the update will “pave the way” for synchronization with Vanguard, which includes new Prestige Levels and rewards, Seasonal Challenges unlocked for the previous six seasons, new Prestige Store content, and more.

The patch also includes some weapon tweaks and Zombies mode tweaks. But since the release of the update, PC players have been experiencing intermittent problems with the following error message:

“Unfortunately, the app has unexpectedly stopped working. Trying ‘Scan and Repair’ may solve the problem. ” Then the fatal error message directs the user to access Activision’s support site if the problem persists, but you probably won’t find much help there.

Of course, fans were outraged by the fact that a $70 game is now practically unplayable just a year after its original release. Treyarch Studios is said to be investigating the matter, as an announcement has been made Black Ops’ Cold War Trello board which states:

“Updated this tag to reflect that we are monitoring and releasing fixes for crash and stability issues across all platforms. Some players misinterpret the specific caption, through the Trello tag, as the omission of others.

Players are encouraged to continue to report issues they have encountered to our Player Support team. Please check the attached Trello card! ”

This was posted on Dec 10, but 2 days later, still no word on solution or fix.

As mentioned before, this didn’t go well with fans. One users on Black Ops’ Cold War subreddit even called the game “unplayable” after the update.
